CBD wholesaler in France or abroad: what it means for your shop

CBD Wholesaler in France or Abroad: What it Changes for Your Shop

Switzerland allows hemp up to 1% THC. France stops at 0.3%. Your supplier can therefore be perfectly legal in their own country and deliver a product that is illegal on your shelves.

The Trap of Thresholds

A Swiss producer can sell you, in good faith and completely legally in their country, a flower with 0.7% THC. Compliant with Swiss law. Illegal in your shop. You won't see the difference with the naked eye, and your supplier has no reason to warn you: they are complying with their own law.

Italy applies a tolerance field that can go up to 0.6% for cultivators, and the status of retail flower sales remains legally contested there. Spain largely authorizes cultivation for export but not the local sale of flowers for consumption, leading to a market geared towards shipping, with documentation calibrated for export rather than for French control.

By buying from abroad, you become the importer. If a batch exceeds the French threshold, if the documentation is not in order, or if a check occurs, your name is on the invoice and your stock is seized. The supplier, meanwhile, has remained within the bounds of their own legislation.

Price and regulatory differences country by country are detailed in our article CBD prices France vs. Switzerland, Italy, Spain.

What "French" means to us, and what it doesn't mean

Many players exploit the ambiguity of the word. Let's be clear, even if it means being less flattering than the competition.

Cloud Store CBD is a French distribution company, based in Charente. We are not producers. We source in Europe, from several origins, and we select based on profile and compliance with the French threshold, not on the flag that makes the best hook.

What "French wholesaler" therefore concretely means here: the company, the invoice, the stock, and the compliance control are in France. This is not a claim of "100% French CBD" or "Charentais industry," which we cannot uphold today. Our goal is to achieve our own controlled production, not our current reality, and we will not sell it until it exists.

If a supplier promises you 100% French at a European wholesale price, ask them. Traceability is verified by a certificate of analysis, not on a homepage.

When a foreign supplier remains the right choice

To be honest: there are cases where importing makes sense. Very large volume for a single variety, an import structure already in place, in-house regulatory expertise, or looking for a profile that no French distributor lists.

It's simply not the same job. Importing requires verifying each batch upon arrival, managing customs delays, and assuming end-to-end compliance. For a shop, a tobacconist, or an e-commerce that wants compliant products without making it a full-time job, a French wholesaler saves exactly that time.

Our wholesale prices

Four tiers, from 100g to 1kg per reference. Indoor hydroponic flowers available in bulk: Amnesia US, Kosher Kush, Sour Diesel (GP3), Snow OG, M.A.C, Bubble Gum, Moonrock 57%. For resins, 3× filtered and yellow.

Starting from €2.07/g per kilo. The same flower is €8.85/g in our general public store. Full price list after SIRET validation.

Compare this figure to the actual cost of an intra-community purchase: advertised price, transport, delivery time, VAT self-assessment, and the time spent verifying each batch upon arrival.

Questions about Origin

Is Swiss CBD illegal in France?

Not by nature. What matters is the THC level of the finished product: below 0.3%, it complies with French law regardless of its origin. The problem is that Swiss law tolerates up to 1%, so part of Swiss production, perfectly legal there, is not compliant here. Without batch analysis, it's impossible to tell the difference.

Are your products grown in France?

No, not currently, and we do not claim they are. We are a French distributor that sources from several European origins. Our goal is to move towards controlled production, but we will not sell it until it exists.

Do you provide an analysis for each batch?

Yes, the certificate of the exact batch you receive, not a generic document for the variety. This is the only valid document in case of a check.
